No one can make you angry, frustrated, upset, or afraid. It is your perception and judgment of the person and the situation that makes you angry, frustrated, upset, or afraid. No person or circumstance can make you happy. It is your perception of that person and circumstance that produces happiness. You cannot typically change what occurs, however, you can change your perception of what occurs, and consequently your response.
You cannot change other people. You can influence their perceptions. Their perception drives their response.
Listen carefully to words. Words reveal perception. You cannot typically change what occurs, but you can change the words that describe what is occurring. Change your words, change your perception, and your response will change. Your words also influence the perception of others, and consequently their response.
As your coach, I help you change your perceptions, which will change your performance and results. I perceive what my clients don’t perceive, and through conversation, we discover and create new perceptions and possibilities together.
